ProstateCancer
Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men. The cancer may be slow and restricted to the prostate gland only, causing no serious harm. However, it may be an aggressive cancer, spreading quickly. If the cancer is detected early, there is a better possibility for successful treatment. Prostate cancer and BPH share quite similar symptoms such as weaker urine flow and difficulty initiating urine stream. Other symptoms include blood in urine and semen, pain in lower back, hips or thighs, bone pain and erectile dysfunction. Prostate cancer can be a serious disease. Today, more men are surviving cancer than ever before. Treatment can be effective, especially when the cancer has not spread beyond the region of the prostate.
